U.K. stocks lower at close of trade; Investing.com British isles 100 down 0.09%
U.K. stocks were lower following the close on Thursday, as losses inside the Software & Computer Services, Oil Equipment Services & Distribution and General Retailers sectors led shares lower.

Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.23% or 2.95 to $1292.35 a troy ounce. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in May rose 0.03% or 0.02 going to $62.48 a barrel, although the June Brent oil contract rose 0.52% or 0.36 to trade at $69.67 a barrel.
GBP/USD was down 0.71% to 1.3066, while EUR/GBP rose 0.59% to 0.8584.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 96.928.
